Rookwood went down to the potions room after dinner. He'd arranged in advance with Professor Brewer to go down there, explaining that Narcissa was tutoring him in potions. He was behind enough with his work that this was believable, and he didn't even mind that he'd end up having to whip up another potion so he'd have something to show her for his tutoring session.
He started whipping up a sleeping draught as his "sample" potion while he was waiting for Narcissa. |

Augustus Rookwood strolled out onto the grounds. It was too early to go into dinner, and classes were over for the day. He knew he should be studying, but he felt like he deserved a break. Finally, cursing, he decided that he really couldn't afford to take a break and knelt on the grass, looking for bugs to practice charms on. |
